I was searching through program files (x86) to check what steam games i have installed in that drive and move them to drive: (E) but these suspicious folders caught my eye and now I am worried.
Are these created by viruses or am I overreacting?

Here are the contents inside the folders:User's image

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Your concern is valid. I haven't found any correlation online between those folders and the executable files. They have typical characteristics of unwanted or malicious software.

The recommendation is not to open them, scan them with antivirus software, and remove them if confirmed as suspicious.

I suggest you use the VirusTotal website (link below). Upload the file to the site and see the results of the analysis by the antivirus programs it uses.

If antivirus software doesn't detect anything suspicious in the files, open the properties and check the "Details" and "Digital Signatures" tabs to see if you find anything familiar. Like a program that was installed around the time the folders were created.

Feel free to share a screenshot if you'd like help analyzing the details.

Feel free to ask back any questions.

There are tools, which can be used to check the suspicious files:

Or it should be possible to right-click the files and select “Scan with Microsoft Defender” (which should have been installed and enabled, as is normal).

By the way, if you see an Excel.exe or Solitaire.exe, it can still be a virus. The name does not indicate whether it's a virus or not.
