I bought an activation key 2 years ago now, today my computer was fine in the morning. When I chose to sign back on I had gotten an error code saying that I need to activate windows before personalizing my pc. Which I did 2 years ago. I have the order number and the backup product key. I tried reentering the code to see if it works it tells me I need a valid product key which it is I paid $200 dollars through microsoft. I need help getting my pc backup, because I have a product key and I have proof of purchase. Just got this issue today out of nowhere not having done anything to my hardware.

    Greetings!

This is Tin, I understand that you're experiencing Windows Activation issue at the moment. No worries, I'll do my best to help. Since you've mentioned that you've already used your Product key to your device, it means it's already associated with your hardware or your MS Account. Please just sign in the MS Account that you've used before when you activate your Windows for the first time. To sign in, please click Start menu and type Your Info and hit enter. Please make sure that you are signed in with the correct account. After that, please go to Activation section and run the Troubleshooter.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Tin

It sounds like you're experiencing an activation issue with Windows, which can occur for various reasons. Since you have a valid product key and proof of purchase, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

    1. Check Your Product Key: Ensure that the product key you are entering is correct. Sometimes, a typo can lead to activation failures.
    2. Use the Activation Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation and select Troubleshoot. This may help identify and resolve the issue.
    3. Re-enter the Product Key: You can try re-entering your product key again through the same Activation settings. Make sure to enter it exactly as it appears.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support: If the above steps do not work, it may be best to contact Microsoft Support directly. They can assist you in reactivating your Windows using your proof of purchase and product key. They may also be able to check your account for any issues related to your digital license.
    5. Check for Hardware Changes: If there have been any recent changes to your hardware, it might affect activation. If your hardware has not changed, this step may not be necessary.

If you continue to face issues, Microsoft Support will be the best resource for resolving your activation problem.
