We wanted to renew our Microsoft volume licensing under school program but out Microsoft partner in the Philippines is not offering it anymore; instead, they offer Microsoft 365 E3. Is there a way for us to renew our Volume licensing license without going through a local Microsoft reseller partner?

    Hello @Christopher Robles

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Community!

Thank you for reaching out. I understand you’re trying to renew your Microsoft Volume Licensing (VL) agreement under the School Program, but your current partner in the Philippines no longer offers this option and is instead proposing Microsoft 365 E3. I’m happy to clarify your available paths forward.

At this time, Microsoft does not allow direct purchase or renewal of Volume Licensing agreements. All academic VL agreements, including School Agreement, Campus Agreement, Select/Select Plus Academic, and the Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES, must be done through an authorized Microsoft Licensing Solution Provider (LSP).

Hence, to get the most accurate guidance, I strongly recommend requesting a direct call from Microsoft’s Sales team. Please visit this link and click “Request Sales call”: Microsoft 365 Sales and Support | Microsoft 365 undefined

This page allows you to request a personalized call from Microsoft’s licensing specialists, who can help you:

    • Confirm renewal options for your current academic VL agreement
    • Identify available LSPs who can process education renewals
    • Compare staying on VL vs. moving to Microsoft 365 E3
    • Get region‑specific guidance and pricing

I hope the given details direct you to the proper assistance channel. Let me know how it goes on your end and if you need further support. I am happy to assist!

To renew your Microsoft volume licensing under the school program without going through a local Microsoft reseller partner, you can consider the following options:

    1. Contact Microsoft Directly: You can reach out to Microsoft directly to inquire about your options for renewing your volume licensing. They may provide guidance on how to proceed without a local partner.
    2. Explore Other Reseller Options: If your current partner is not offering the volume licensing you need, you might want to search for other Microsoft-certified service partners who can assist with volume licensing for schools. You can use the Microsoft Partner Center to find alternative partners.
    3. Check Online Resources: Microsoft provides various resources and support for educational institutions. You can explore the Microsoft Licensing programs for industries to find relevant information.
    4. Consider Microsoft 365 E3: If volume licensing is not an option, you might want to evaluate whether transitioning to Microsoft 365 E3 could meet your needs, as your partner is offering this alternative.

It's important to ensure that any changes align with your institution's requirements and budget.
