    Hi @Pauliina Inervo

Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft Q&A.

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

Based on your description, it appears that you are encountering an issue when trying to access Outlook with your work account. The message UserHasNoMailboxAndNoLicenseAssignedError indicates that your account currently does not have an active Exchange Online mailbox. This typically happens due to one of the following reasons:

No Microsoft 365 license that includes Exchange Online is assigned.

A previously assigned license was removed or has expired.

The mailbox was never provisioned even though the user account exists.

You could try to follow these steps to troubleshoot it:

    Verify License Assignment

Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

Navigate to Users > Active users.

    Select the affected user account.

Under Licenses and apps, confirm that a license including Exchange Online is assigned.

If a license is assigned, verify that it is still active. If it is inactive, you may need to review your subscription status, resolve any payment issues, or purchase a new subscription.

    Reassign the License

If the license is missing or was recently changed:

Assign the correct license to the account.

If the license is already assigned, remove it and then reassign it.  This forces the mailbox provisioning process to restart.

    Allow Time for Mailbox Provisioning

After assigning or updating the license, please allow 1–2 hours for the mailbox to be fully provisioned. Once this time has passed, try accessing Outlook again.

Additionally, I noticed the presence of X-OWA-Error in your details. Could you confirm whether the issue occurs specifically when accessing Outlook Web App (OWA)?

In some cases, this issue can be related to the AmbientAuthenticationInPrivateModesEnabled policy when accessing OWA via the Microsoft Edge browser.

If you are using Edge and fall into this scenario, you can try modifying the following registry value:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge AmbientAuthenticationInPrivateModesEnabled = 0

Changing this value from 1 to 0 may help resolve the authentication or loading issue in OWA.

You can refer via: UserHasNoMailboxAndNoLicenseAssignedError - Microsoft Q&A

Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

The error message you are encountering, UserHasNoMailboxAndNoLicenseAssignedError, indicates that your account does not have a mailbox or a license assigned to it. This typically means that the account is either not properly set up or that the necessary licensing for email services has not been applied.

Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check with your Administrator: If this is a work or school account, contact your IT administrator to ensure that your account has been properly set up and that a mailbox has been assigned to it.
    2. Verify License Assignment: Ensure that your account has the appropriate license assigned for email services. This can usually be checked in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
    3. Sign in to the Admin Center: If you have admin access, you can log into the Microsoft 365 Admin Center to check the status of the account and make any necessary changes.
    4. Wait and Retry: Sometimes, changes in account settings can take a little while to propagate. If changes have been made recently, wait a bit and try logging in again.

If you continue to experience issues, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
