New Outlook- add Sync to the Home view

Question

I found the Sync option from the View tab, but I would like to add a Quick Step (or the action itself) with that feature so I can do it from my standard view. Is there a way to do that, that I am not seeing? It's not an option in Quick Steps.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern. I understand why having the Sync option available as a Quick Step would be convenient. However, this is expected behavior in Outlook. The Sync action is a mailbox-level function and is not exposed as a mail item action, which means it cannot be added to Quick Steps. This is by design, and there is currently no option to customize Quick Steps to include Sync. 

As an alternative, I recommend using the built-in Send/Receive function. You can quickly trigger this at any time by pressing F9, which forces Outlook to send and receive data across all folders and effectively refreshes the mailbox. 

We understand how important this functionality is for your workflow. I recommend submitting feedback directly to Microsoft via the Feedback Portal to help prioritize this feature in future updates.
