From what you described, Outlook for iOS is repeatedly asking you to re‑enter your password every time you return to the app. I understand repeated sign‑ins on your iPhone can be really disruptive.
Please try the following steps:
1. Make sure Background App Refresh is enabled
On your iPhone: Settings > General > Background App Refresh > On, then ensure Outlook is also enabled.
2. Update Outlook for iOS
- Go to the App Store > search Outlook > Update (if available)
- Restart the app
3. Reset the Outlook mobile app
- Go to Outlook app on your phone
- Tap your profile icon (top-left) > Settings > Accounts > Choose your account
- Scroll down and select Reset Account
- Sign back in and test again.
4. Remove and re-add the account
- In the same place, tap Remove account
- Close the app completely, then reopen Outlook.
- Tap Add account, and sign in again.
5. If it still happens, use in-app support
