    Hi Mariellen LaRue,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. I'm happy to help.

Please share me more information so I can better understand your situation:

    • Are you using a laptop or a desktop?
    • Does your monitor support 1080p resolution? If you don't have this specification, please let me know the laptop model or monitor model.
    • Do you install drivers for your GPU?

If you have any update, please feel free to let me know.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello,

If not, Can you share with me two screenshots please?

    1. Go to Device Manager > Display Adapters, I would like to see what's listed.
    2. Please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up.

    Thanks!

If the display resolution of 1920 x 1080 is not available in the drop-down menu, it could be due to several reasons:

    1. Graphics Driver: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or incorrect drivers can limit the available resolutions.
    2. Display Capabilities: Check if your monitor supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080. If it does not, that resolution will not appear in the settings.
    3. Connection Type: The type of connection (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.) can also affect available resolutions. Ensure you are using a compatible connection.
    4. Windows Settings: Sometimes, you may need to change the display settings in Windows. You can try the following steps:
      • Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
      • Scroll down to Scale and layout and check the Resolution drop-down menu.
      • If 1920 x 1080 is not listed, click on Advanced display settings to see if it appears there.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to manually set the resolution using a command or through graphics control panel software provided by your graphics card manufacturer.
