Hi,

I have been trying to fix this issue for a while now. Roughly every 10 - 20 seconds, my audio goes a little static-y then drops out for about half a second. I am using the Momentum 4's with the built in Bluetooth on the Gigabyte X870E Aorus, but I am fairly sure it is not a hardware fault or compatibility issue, since booting Fedora on the same system results in perfect Bluetooth audio. In addition, the same headphones work when wired on windows.

What I have tried:

  • Restarting PC, re-pairing headphones, turning Bluetooth on and off again
  • Disabling Hands-Free Telephony
  • Updating (and uninstalling / reinstalling) Bluetooth adapter drivers
  • Installing a different generic Bluetooth audio driver on my headphones
  • Disabling WiFi in case it was conflicting with Bluetooth
  • Disabling Bluetooth audio enhancements
  • Disabling absolute volume
  • Disabling power saving in the Realtek driver power management tab
  • Changing around the options in the Control Panel's sound communication tab
  • Disabling the advanced priority settings in my headphones properties

(I'm sure half of this was unnecessary, but it got to the point where if a setting had any mention of sound I would toggle it and see if it changed anything)

I'm sure it's just something obvious I'm missing, but it sucks not having Bluetooth functionality for my Bluetooth headphones when I use Windows, and I would love to get this sorted. I have tried following other support threads, but none seem to help (or maybe I'm just bad at following instructions lol)

Any help would be appreciated immensely. If any further information or logs would help diagnose this, please ask.

Thanks in Advance

Hello there! I'm glad to help you today!

You basically have done almost everything considering your list. I'm also assuming that you have downloaded your Bluetooth drivers in this link https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X870E-AORUS-MASTER/support

Windows Bluetooth is… finicky, especially for audio, so I would highly suggest getting an external USB dongle. I also have this problem personally (I have a variety of Bluetooth audio e.g Airpods Max, airpods pro 2, Ifi audio go pod, fiio etc.) and not all of them work on my built-in Bluetooth adapter.

Any External Bluetooth adapter beyond 5.0 should suffice. Image reference (Even the ones without an Antenna should be fine)
