Hello @Abraham Getachew,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum!
I noticed that your question was submitted with the “Education” tag, so I would like to confirm a bit more information to make sure we guide you correctly.
Could you please confirm whether the account you are trying to sign in to is an education account provided by a school (for example, a university or educational institution), or a work account provided by a company or organization?
This is important because education and work accounts are managed directly by the organization that issued them. When an account is locked, Microsoft Support does not have the ability to unlock it on the user’s behalf. Instead, the account must be checked and unlocked by the IT administrator of your school or organization.
Your IT administrator can review and unlock the account using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center:
- Signing in to the Admin Center,
- Navigating to the Users section and locating your account under Active users > Click “Unblock sign in”
- From there, they can reset the password or unlock the account and follow the on‑screen instructions to complete the process.
Once the IT administrator unlocks the account or resets the password, you should be able to sign in again normally.
Please let us know whether you are using an education account or a work account, and if you need any additional guidance on how to contact your IT administrator.
Kind regards,
