If your Copilot icon on the taskbar has stopped working and you're experiencing issues with losing past conversations when accessing it in another way, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check Your License: Ensure that you are assigned a license that supports Microsoft 365 Copilot. If your license is not appropriate, Copilot may not function correctly.
    2. Verify Organization Policies: Make sure that Copilot isn't blocked by your organization's policies. Sometimes, organizational settings can restrict access to certain features.
    3. Update Your Software: Ensure that your Microsoft 365 apps are up to date. Sometimes, updates can resolve issues with features not working properly.
    4. Restart Your Device: A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary glitches in the software.
    5. Re-enable Copilot: If you have previously disabled Copilot, try re-enabling it to see if that resolves the issue.

If the problem persists, you may want to consult your IT administrator for further assistance or check the official Microsoft documentation for more detailed troubleshooting steps.
