I would like my tags to stay open on the top bar and the side bar when I leave the site

See attached image. The issue I'm having is that I have recently purchased a new Surface Pro laptop. On my old computer I was able to have the tabs open at the top and they corresponded to the tabs on the side bar. I was able to go between sites on the sidebar without any of them closing.

What is happening now is that I open all the tabs and when I leave one site to go to another I can't get back to the previous site because it has closed. If my computer closes due to inactivity, then all the sites close.

I've tried to follow instructions from Youtube and other places, I can't get the tabs setup as I want them to be.

Appreciate anyone who is able to help me.

    • When you say the sites close after the computer closes, do you mean that all tabs are gone when you reopen the browser? Yes They are still in my favourites but I have to open them again.
    • When you say you can’t return to the previous site because it closed, do you mean the page reloads when you go back, or does the tab itself close? The tab closes

I have the tabs open on the side bar, but they close every time I leave the site to go to another site on the sidebar.

    Hi,

Based on what you described, it sounds like you want your tabs positioned at the top and to remain open. Is that correct? If so, go to Settings > Appearance > Tabs > Toggle off Show vertical tabs.

As for your other concern, I would like to confirm the following:

    • When you say the sites close after the computer closes, do you mean that all tabs are gone when you reopen the browser?
    • When you say you can’t return to the previous site because it closed, do you mean the page reloads when you go back, or does the tab itself close?

I'd appreciate if you could upload a video showing the issue. That would help me understand the problem more clearly. If not possible, please walk me through step by step on what's happening.
