Hi,

I have a Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise subscription. I'm considering buying the Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription. Please help me clarify the following:

  1. What is the difference between
    1. Microsoft 365 Copilot Business; and
    2. Microsoft 365 Copilot With a Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise subscription, can i buy Microsoft 365 Copilot Business (instead of Microsoft 365 Copilot)
  2. When buying this subscription, which account should i log-in from/tag it to
    1. The Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise subscription (the desktop apps installed on my system); or
    2. The Office 365 subscription (which i use for e-mails)
  3. Is this the subscription which gives the
    1. COPILOT() function in MS Excel; and
    2. Agent Mode in MS Excel
  4. Once I have purchased the subscription, how do I start to use it in my desktop office applications? Do I just have to open MS Excel and everything is just available to use or do I have to activate something from within the desktop applications?

    1. Difference between Microsoft 365 Copilot Business and Microsoft 365 Copilot:
      • Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is specifically designed for business plans, while Microsoft 365 Copilot can be added to a wider range of Microsoft 365 subscription plans, including enterprise and other business plans.
      • With a Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise subscription, you can purchase Microsoft 365 Copilot but not Microsoft 365 Copilot Business, as the latter is tailored for specific business plans.
    2. Account to log in for subscription purchase:
      • You should log in with the account associated with your Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise subscription to tag the Copilot subscription to that account.
    3. Functionality provided by the subscription:
      • Yes, this subscription provides access to the COPILOT() function in MS Excel and features like Agent Mode in Excel.
    4. Using the subscription in desktop applications:
      • After purchasing the subscription, you should be able to open MS Excel and access the features directly. There may be no need for additional activation within the desktop applications, but ensure your application is updated to the latest version to utilize all features.
