If both of your email accounts are blocked and you cannot access them, you may want to consider the following steps:

    1. Wait for the Lockout Period: Sometimes, accounts are temporarily locked due to suspicious activity or too many failed sign-in attempts. It's advisable to wait for about 24 hours before trying again, as further attempts during this time can reset the cooldown period.
    2. Use the Account Recovery Form: If you haven't already, try using the official recovery form at https://account.live.com/acsr. Make sure to provide as much accurate information as possible, including recent email subjects, folder names, and contacts you’ve emailed.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If you're still having trouble, you can contact Microsoft Support for assistance. You can sign in with any account to reach out to them. Choose the appropriate options related to account recovery to get the help you need.
    4. Check Security Info: If you manage to sign in briefly, check your account security settings to ensure that your recovery options are up to date and remove any unfamiliar information.
    5. Alternative Recovery Options: If you have two-factor authentication enabled, look for options like "I don’t have any of these" when prompted for verification. This may trigger an alternative recovery process.

If you have exhausted these options, it may take some time for Microsoft to verify your identity and restore access to your accounts.

    Hi colin liddy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how difficult this situation is, especially after losing access to the phone and recovery email addresses linked to your account. You have already attempted the recovery form, but it didn’t restore access.

I’ve also reviewed the Q&A Assist answer in this thread, and its guidance is generally correct- it outlines the supported recovery paths when an account is locked, and standard verification methods are no longer accessible. I’d like to add and clearly summarize the two official options available in this scenario.

Before proceeding, please note that forum moderators and contributors don’t have access to Microsoft’s account security systems, so we’re not able to unlock accounts or bypass verification directly. When verification methods are no longer available, the following are the supported ways to proceed:

1, Submit the account reinstatement form

When the account remains locked because verification methods are no longer accessible, the next step is to request a manual review from the Microsoft security team using the official account reinstatement form:  https://www.microsoft.com/digitalsafety/account-reinstatement

Please submit this form once and wait for Microsoft’s review. Submitting multiple requests can slow down the process.

2, Contact Microsoft Support (Live Chat)

If you’ve already submitted the reinstatement or recovery form and it hasn’t worked, the remaining supported option is to contact Microsoft Support directly. Please follow below steps to reach a live chat agent:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the search bar provided on the page, type "Account Recovery" and press Enter.
    3. Click on the "Get Help" button that appears.
    4. Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.
    5. When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products".
    6. For the category, choose "Manage Account Security".
    7. Look for and click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".
    8. When prompted, provide a valid contact email where Microsoft can reach you regarding your case.
    9. Explain your situation clearly: Be concise but provide all the relevant details.

I hope this clearly outlines the next steps available to you.
