I've used lotus approach since 1998.

It worked fine with windows 11.

I bought a new computer with windows 11.

It had problems. I'm running in a compatable mode to windows 98.

I worked around them. It's gotten worse.

The major problem is i can't save records to a pdf, which is a a major problem.

Please let me know if there is anything i can do.

Running older programs like Lotus Approach and QuickBooks on Windows 11 can sometimes lead to compatibility issues, especially if you're using compatibility modes designed for much older versions of Windows. Here are a few steps you might consider to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Compatibility Settings: Ensure that you are using the correct compatibility mode for each application. You can right-click on the application executable, go to Properties, and then the Compatibility tab to adjust settings.
    2. Run as Administrator: Sometimes, running the program as an administrator can help resolve issues related to saving files or accessing certain features.
    3. Update Drivers: Ensure that all your device drivers, especially for your printer or PDF software, are up to date. This can sometimes resolve issues with saving to PDF.
    4. Use Alternative PDF Software: If the built-in PDF saving feature is not working, consider using a virtual PDF printer (like CutePDF or PDFCreator) that can create PDFs from any application that has a print function.
    5. Check for Software Updates: Make sure that both Lotus Approach and QuickBooks are updated to their latest versions, as updates may include fixes for compatibility with newer operating systems.
    6. Consider Virtualization: If issues persist, you might consider running an older version of Windows in a virtual machine (like VirtualBox or VMware) to run these applications in their native environment.

If these steps do not resolve your issues, you may want to consult the support forums for Lotus Approach and QuickBooks for more specific guidance related to those applications.
