Hello emma copeland
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand how frustrating it is when important emails don’t come through, especially things like payslips.
Just to confirm, are you using an Outlook.com/Hotmail personal mailbox, or is this a work/school mailbox in Classic Outlook? And do the missing emails land in Junk, Deleted, or do they not arrive at all?
Please try the following steps:
1. Double-check on Outlook on the web
- Sign in to Outlook on the web
- Check all folders (Inbox, Junk Email, Deleted Items, Archive)
- If emails appear online but not in your Windows app, it's a sync issue
2. Make the senders "Safe"
- In Outlook web, go to Settings > Mail > Junk email
- Under Safe senders and domains, add the exact sender address or domain used by:
- EPM payslips
- SendGrid (often the company's domain, not “sendgrid” itself)
- Bluelight
- Click Save.
- In the same settings, check Blocked senders and domains: remove anything related to the senders you mentioned.
3. Check Inbox rules/forwarding
In Outlook on the web's settings, go to:
- Settings > Mail > Rules/ Sweep: delete any suspicious rules you did not create (especially rules that moves/deletes mail)
- Settings > Mail > Forwarding: make sure nothing is forwarding
4. Create a rule for the sender/domain
- Still in Outlook web, go to Settings > Mail > Rules > Add new rule
- Condition: From contains the exact domain
- Action: Move to Inbox
- Enable “Stop processing more rules” and Save.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please feel free to let me know how it goes after trying these steps
