I cannot edit my Word documents although I have paid for the service

My laptop has Microsoft access but not my desk top. Why?

    1. Could you please confirm which Microsoft 365 or Office license you’re using under https://account.microsoft.com/services?
    2. Are you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account on both the laptop and desktop?
    3. Also, what type of devices those are (Windows or Mac)?
