Tenant moving

2026-02-04T09:35:04.6833333+00:00

Hi

How to move my Tenant from one subcribe to my company since i want all the invoice to be sent directly to our company.

We are suspecting a foul play with the company that is hosting our Tenant since our IT personnel moved to that company which is hosting our tenant.

    Dear @Thinawanga Naledzani Welcome Ratshivhombela

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that you would like to move your tenant from its current subscription to your company so that all invoices are billed directly to your organization.

Because this scenario involves tenant movement and billing ownership, the fastest and safest way to get accurate resolution is to speak directly with Microsoft Phone Support. They have the ability to securely verify tenant details, review billing ownership, and guide you through the correct steps in real time.

(Important Note: Sometimes, you may first hear a computer‑generated voice. Please wait for it to finish. If an agent is available, you will be connected to a live representative. Depending on your country or region, you may hear a brief introduction of about 30 seconds such as “You can visit the link…”. You can ignore this message and wait for the options, then press “1” as a business email user, and again “1” for technical help (you could ask to be redirected to Billing Team). During peak hours, there might be high call volumes, so we kindly ask for your patience as we work to assist everyone as quickly as possible.)

Please let them know this is related to tenant billing ownership/subscription movement. They’ll help walk you through the next steps.

As much as I’d like to assist you directly, access to tenant billing ownership and invoice review is restricted for security reasons. Only Microsoft Billing Team has the necessary access to investigate the billing setup and ensure invoices are correctly moved to the company.

Thank you for your understanding, and I appreciate your patience while this is handled through the appropriate support channel.

To move your Microsoft 365 tenant from one subscription to another, you will need to follow the process of transferring your subscription to your company's tenant. Here are the general steps you should consider:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: Reach out to Microsoft support for assistance with the transfer process. They can guide you through the necessary steps and ensure that your subscription is transferred correctly.
    2. Prepare for Transfer: Ensure that you have all necessary information about your current tenant and the destination tenant. This includes details about your subscription, billing information, and any specific configurations that may need to be replicated in the new tenant.
    3. Transfer Subscription: Depending on your subscription type, you may need to follow specific procedures to transfer it to the new tenant. This may involve using the Azure product transfer hub or other tools provided by Microsoft.
    4. Update Billing Information: Once the transfer is complete, make sure to update the billing information to reflect your company's details so that all invoices are sent directly to your company.
    5. Monitor for Issues: After the transfer, keep an eye on your services and billing to ensure everything is functioning as expected and that invoices are being sent correctly.

If you suspect foul play with the current hosting company, it may also be wise to review your contracts and consider legal advice if necessary.
