I am the Treasurer of Middlesbrough Sea Cadets and I am looking to get office for our five pc's that have just been donated. They all have Windows 11 and more than enough specs to run the software. Can you point me in the right direction please?

To obtain Microsoft Office for your charity, Middlesbrough Sea Cadets, you can take advantage of the nonprofit offerings provided by Microsoft. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Check Eligibility: Ensure that your organization qualifies as a nonprofit. Microsoft provides grants and discounts specifically for eligible nonprofit organizations.
    2. Visit the Nonprofit Hub: Go to the Nonprofit Hub to view current offers and learn how to activate available benefits.
    3. Select Microsoft 365: For your five PCs, you can consider Microsoft 365, which includes productivity and collaboration tools like Word, Excel, and Outlook. Nonprofits can access these tools at discounted pricing.
    4. Licensing: You will need to purchase licenses for each of the five PCs. You can specify the number of licenses based on your needs when you buy a subscription.
    5. Installation: Once you have the licenses, you can install Microsoft Office on each of the PCs. Each user can install Microsoft 365 on up to five PCs or Macs, so you will be well within the limits.

If you need further assistance, you can submit a support request through the Nonprofit Hub.

Hello, I'm Quinn and here to help!

For charities, Microsoft offers special nonprofit licensing that is significantly discounted.

    https://www.microsoft.com/nonprofits

Click Get started to register your charity and complete the nonprofit verification process (you’ll need charity details and proof of nonprofit status). Once approved, you can choose a Microsoft 365 nonprofit plan and assign licenses to each of the five PCs using individual user accounts. Before going further, it would help to know which type of Office you’re looking for:

A Microsoft 365 subscription (Office apps plus cloud services and nonprofit discounts), or

A one-time purchase such as Office 2024 desktop apps, which does not usually include nonprofit discounts but is a single upfront payment per PC.

You can compare the available Office and Microsoft 365 options here:

Feel free to let me know which option you prefer, and I’ll be here to guide you through the next steps.
