Hello,

I am writing because I accidentally removed my Outlook/Hotmail email alias <PII removed by a moderator>@hotmail.com from my Microsoft account about three days ago while changing my primary alias.

I did not realize that clicking “Remove” would delete the email address itself. This was a mistake, and I am trying to recover the alias as soon as possible.

Currently, recovery attempts show that the account does not exist, but emails are still routing to the address, which makes me believe it may be in a soft-deleted state.

I am requesting that you please check for a recently removed or soft-deleted alias and restore <PII removed by a moderator>@hotmail.com to my Microsoft account if possible.

My current primary email is: <PII removed by a moderator>@outlook.com

I am happy to verify my identity or provide any additional information needed.

Thank you very much for your help — I truly appreciate your time and support.

Kind regards,

    Unfortunately if you remove an alias "@hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com or @msn.com" you will not be able to recover or create a new account using it, you can check in the last section of the article below;
