I am getting numerous emails each day to update my account, telling me that my mailbox account is failing to sync and that my emails are being returned, etc. Is this spam?

It sounds like you may be receiving phishing or spam emails, especially if they are asking you to update your account or suggesting that your mailbox is failing to sync. Legitimate companies typically do not ask for sensitive information through email or send unsolicited messages about account issues.

To determine if these emails are indeed spam, consider the following:

    1. Check the sender's email address: Often, spam emails come from addresses that look suspicious or do not match the official domain of the company.
    2. Look for generic greetings: Spam emails often use generic greetings like "Dear Customer" instead of your name.
    3. Examine the content: Be wary of emails that contain urgent language or threats about account suspension.
    4. Do not click on links: If you suspect an email is spam, do not click on any links or download attachments.
    5. Verify with the company: If you're unsure, contact the company directly using contact information from their official website, not from the email.

If you find that these emails are indeed spam, you can mark them as such in your email client and consider adjusting your spam filter settings to reduce their frequency.

    Hello,

What is the sender's email address?

    It definitely sounds like phishing.

Typical account matters are communicated via address ending with @accountprotection.microsoft.com
