New Outlook Poll Not Working

The new poll feature in the new outlook really makes it difficult to select specific dates/times for people. It used to work well but now seems really broken. It doesn't necessarily automatically find dates very well (i.e. picks dates way out with as few a people available as their are in time slots more near-term). Big issue is that if you go through the process of selecting dates, they will very easily get overwritten if you select a new date/time or go to the calendar. You should be able to easily look at a calendar and pick potential dates/times for people to vote on.

Also, another minor issue on the calendar when trying to schedule a meeting from the scheduling view. If you change the date in the top left corner drop down, it doesn't want to change the date on the scheduling chart at the bottom. You have to scroll to the date and time you want which is really annoying.

    Hello @Wood, John W

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Community!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. I genuinely appreciate how clearly you described what’s happening. I know how confusing it can feel when something that used to work smoothly suddenly becomes difficult, especially when you’re just trying to get meetings scheduled efficiently. Your feedback is absolutely valid, and I’m really sorry you’re running into these issues.

As a forum moderator, I unfortunately don’t have access to internal product changes or insight into what the engineering team may already be working on.

The New Outlook is still evolving, and features like the Scheduling Poll are actively being refined based on real user experiences. Therefore, to make sure your feedback reaches the people who can truly act on it, I strongly encourage you to submit it through the Microsoft Feedback Portal or directly inside Outlook via: Help > Feedback > Report a problem / Suggest a feature. feedback and contact support screenshot one

This is the channel the Outlook product team actively reviews, and your detailed observations can genuinely help shape improvements in future updates.

Thank you again for speaking up and for your patience while Outlook continues to grow. Please feel free to reach out if there’s anything else I can help with.

The issues you're experiencing with the new Outlook poll feature and calendar scheduling are noted by other users as well. It appears that the functionality for selecting specific dates and times has not been performing optimally, leading to difficulties in finding suitable options for participants. Additionally, the problem with the date change in the scheduling view not reflecting correctly can be frustrating, as it requires manual scrolling to adjust the date and time.

Unfortunately, there are no specific workarounds or solutions provided in the current context to address these issues directly. It may be beneficial to provide feedback to Microsoft regarding these functionalities, as user input can help improve future updates.
