Miscellaneous topics that do not fit into specific categories.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how confusing it can be when features you relied on in classic Outlook like event styles and simple dictionary additions don’t appear or work the same way in the New Outlook experience.
Based on current information from Microsoft’s community discussions, the New Outlook interface has significant feature gaps compared to classic Outlook, and both of the features you're asking about fall into that category.
For the Event Style “no space” formatting, Outlook’s product moderators have confirmed that the New Outlook does not currently support modifying event styles beyond the limited presets available. The richer style sets from classic Outlook are no longer present, and there is currently no built‑in option to restore or customize spacing styles.
For the “Add to Dictionary” feature, users have reported that the New Outlook removed the right‑click Add to Dictionary option, and this capability is not yet restored in the redesign. Microsoft has acknowledged this change, and while the feedback channel is recommended, there is no simplified alternative at this time.
The most reliable way to restore these features for now is to switch back to Classic Outlook, which still supports full style customization and right‑click dictionary additions.
May I ask whether you still have the “Switch to Classic Outlook” toggle available in the upper‑right corner of your window? If so, I can walk you through enabling it again.
I’m here to help you until everything works the way you need.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Noel
