This phone number must be a new thing. I've been debited $25/month for "XBox Live Game Pass" or something like that. Been going on for about 10 YEARS. I have never owned an Xbox, played Nintendo once, last century, but no Xbox. After countless hours of research I did find something where my wife and grandson had to have me create an Outlook email address account so he could play Xbox, was his Christmas present.

I have emailed, submitted all kinds of tickets and the answer has alwasy started with the same step 1; LOG IN TO YOUR MICROSOFT ACCOUNT, then see billing. I DON'T HAVE THE ACCOUNT. There has never been an option to call somebody. Never.

Thought about canceling my credit card, but the bank will only refund me for 2 months of charges. I want the full refund, for all time. I'm sure they can see it's never been used.

I recently recieved a refund check because I did not use my Amazon Prime membership enough to cover the annual membership. It said right on the letter "In response to the President Trump executive order" (I forget the exact words, but it definately said Trump made them do this). Not trying to get political, but I'm so happy he is quickly and effectivley going after this kind of stuff. Something tells me this new phone number is an effort to avoid any trouble.

Hoping to get through to Trump or a good attorney to do a class action suit on this. I've been charged over $3,000 in the past 10 years. I'm not alone.

If you've been in this situation, please chime in.

    Hi @Deborah Olesen

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on the details you shared, I understand you noticed an unrecognized charge on your credit card and you would like to know why it occurred as well as how to contact Support directly. I truly understand your concern, and I appreciate you taking the time to report this promptly and provide the information needed to investigate.

In many cases, an unrecognized Microsoft charge is related to a subscription renewal with recurring billing, a previously pending authorization that completed later, or a purchase made using a saved payment method on a Microsoft account. Additionally, the description on your bank statement may appear shortened, which can make it difficult to match the charge to a specific product at first glance. Microsoft provides an investigation flow through your account billing area to help identify the charge details. You may refer this document for more information: How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft - Microsoft Support

To request a correction or reissue, I recommend creating a support ticket with Microsoft’s Billing team, who can review the invoice and assist further to check your credit card charge correctly. This is the best way to ensure your request is handled securely and appropriately.

Please try these steps below to get in touch with the Billing team:

Option 1: Create support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center

    • First, sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center with your admin account; if you don’t have access, please contact your IT administrator for support.
    • Next, open Help & Support by selecting the green button on the dashboard, so the support panel appears.
    • Finally, search and submit your request by entering “I need to check a charge through my credit card”, then choose your contact method, time zone, and language, add details and any attachments, and click Contact me (a callback can help faster).
    • Please keep Tenant Name, Primary Domain, Global Admin Email, and payment proof (transaction ID or screenshot) ready.

The support team may be able to reissue the invoice depending on your account type and region.

Option 2: Reach out to Microsoft support via phone

Moreover, if you cannot sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center, please contact Microsoft Support via phone number: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support - Select your country/region own phone number for support.

As community moderators, we appreciate your understanding that our access to internal development details is limited. Our primary role is to guide users toward the appropriate resources and support channels. While we may not have visibility into deeper backend analysis, we’ll continue doing our best to support you within the scope of our responsibilities.

Looking forward to your response and wishing you a great day ahead.

If you have an unauthorized charge on your credit card related to Microsoft services, it is important to investigate the charge. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check Your Account: Log into your Microsoft account to review your recent transactions and subscriptions. This can help you identify if the charge corresponds to a service you may have signed up for.
    2. Contact Support: If you cannot find any information regarding the charge, it is advisable to contact Microsoft support directly. They can help you understand the nature of the charge and assist in resolving any issues.
    3. Dispute the Charge: If you believe the charge is fraudulent, you may need to dispute it with your credit card provider to prevent further unauthorized transactions.
    4. Monitor Your Account: Keep an eye on your account for any further unauthorized charges and ensure your payment information is secure.

For more detailed assistance, you can refer to the Microsoft support articles that guide you through understanding and managing billing issues.
