Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Regarding your issue, Windows Essentials can be safely uninstalled without affecting Windows 11. Windows Essentials (previously called Windows Live Essentials) is a legacy, optional application suite that is not part of the Windows 11 operating system. It included apps such as Mail, Photo Gallery, and Movie Maker, all of which are separate from core Windows components. Microsoft discontinued this suite years ago, and it is no longer supported or required for modern versions of Windows. As a result, removing it will not impact Windows 11 stability, updates, or core functionality.
Important note:
- Uninstalling Windows Essentials only removes those legacy apps.
- Windows 11 already includes modern alternatives (such as Photos, Outlook/Mail, and OneDrive).
- If you still rely on a specific Essentials app, consider installing an alternative before uninstalling.
Hope this clears things up for you. If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know.
