If you recently purchased additional space, please note that it may take 24 to 48 hours to update across all services. If you still don’t see the change after that time, try signing out and back in.

After that time frame, check if your storage space has been updated by visiting: https://outlook.live.com/

Go to Settings > Accounts > Storage

Expand both the Microsoft Storage and Cloud Storage sections

If the storage is not updated, I suggest contacting Microsoft Support directly so they can check it for you:

    Click this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/

Sign in to your Microsoft account.

Select Microsoft 365 > Click 'Get home support'.

Type "Chat with an agent" from the text field and press Enter.

Click "Contact support" at the bottom.

Select the product you need help with.

Follow the prompts to connect with a live agent.

To access the 1 TB of storage associated with your Hotmail account, you need to ensure that your OneDrive account is properly set up and that you have not exceeded the storage limit. If you are receiving notifications that your account is over the limit, it may be due to the following reasons:

    1. Storage Limit Exceeded: Check your OneDrive storage to see how much space you have used. If you have exceeded your storage limit, you will need to delete files or folders to free up space.
    2. Account Suspension: If your account has not been accessed in 12 months, it may be frozen. You can check the status of your account and learn how to unfreeze it if necessary.
    3. Configuration Issues: Sometimes, the OneDrive sync app may have configuration issues that prevent proper access to your storage.

To resolve the issue, you can:

    • Check your OneDrive storage usage and delete unnecessary files.
    • Unlink and relink your OneDrive account to resolve any sync configuration issues.
    • If needed, reset the OneDrive app to restore its settings.

Make sure that your Hotmail account is linked to a Microsoft account that has the appropriate OneDrive storage plan to utilize the 1 TB effectively.
