I am using a television as a second monitor. The problem is that the window is a bit larger than the screen. So, I cannot see the scroll bar or the X to close the window. How do I fix that?

    Hi Steve Banks,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. I'm happy to help.

On most window, you can Maximize them by the combination ALT + Space then press X.

After press the combination ALT + Space, there's a list of Menu and you can see the next key to call that function is underlined, example N for Minimize. That's the convenient way to do so.

For additional information, your TV may have large scale, so your window becomes too large to fit the screen. You may open Settings > System > Display > choose the Display number belongs to your TV > scroll down to Scale setting > lower the scale percentage.

I hope that above information is helpful to you.

    Hello,

In this case, the adjustment actually needs to be done on the monitor itself, the TV in your case.

Go to the TV's settings, look for display related settings, adjust the ratio/size for example, that typically fixes it.

To resize a window that is too large for your monitor screen, you can try the following methods:

    1. Keyboard Shortcuts: Use the keyboard shortcuts to move and resize the window. Press Alt + Space, then select Move or Size. You can then use the arrow keys to move or resize the window. Press Enter to finalize the changes.
    2. Taskbar: Right-click on the application's taskbar button and select Move. Then, use the arrow keys to reposition the window so that it fits within the screen.
    3. Change Display Settings: If you are using a television as a second monitor, ensure that your display settings are configured correctly. You can adjust the resolution or scaling settings in Windows to better fit the window on your screen. To do this, right-click on the desktop, select Display settings, and adjust the resolution or scaling options.
    4. Full-Screen Mode: If the application supports it, you can try switching to full-screen mode, which may help in displaying the content properly on your screen.
    5. Using the Mouse: If you can access any part of the window, hover over the edges or corners until the cursor changes to a resize arrow, then click and drag to resize the window.

If these methods do not work, you may need to adjust the settings of your television or the graphics settings on your computer to ensure compatibility.
