Use of product code i.e. more that one device at same time

I have a product code for Microsoft Office and it has been installed on one device. I recently purchased a second device. Can I use that same product code for the new device? Or can only one device be used for one product code? If yes, how do I us that product code on my new device. THANKS!

As part of the purchase or at a later stage, you usually associate your product key with a Microsoft account and, from then on, the account must be used instead of the product key. (Certain types of licenses, such as volume licenses for large organizations, may be different.)

Which version of Office do you have? Subscriptions can always be installed on multiple devices, while each perpetual license, such as Office Home & Business 2024, is for one computer and one user.

365 Personal yearly subscription that I renew every year. I use it for my other computer but now have 2 as can I use that product key on the second computer?

You can't reuse the product key, but you can install your subscription product on more than one computer, using your associated Microsoft account. On the new computer, go to https://account.microsoft.com/services , sign in with the appropriate credentials and install.

I must be a moron as can’t find where to enter my subscription ID; as it continues to ask for the Product code which I do and obviously states it is being used already. Please advise! Thanks!
