Found my old MS Office Home and Student 2007, how can I install it on my pc running edge

I found my old MS Office Home and Student 2007 cd and wanted to run it on my current computer that has MS Edge and the S mode will not let me run the setup.exe file. I get a message that says "For security and performance, this mode of Windows only runs Microsoft-verified apps" and "This helps protect your PC and keep it running smoothly." and "E:\setup.exe" and "Still want to run this unverified app?" and "See how" which leads me to a screen that offers to turn off S mode (which I do not want to do).

Is there a way to run MS Office Home and Student 2007 from my cd without losing the protection that S mode offers? Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regarding your question, unfortunately there is no way to install applications outside of the Microsoft Store in S Mode without turn Off S Mode.

What I can recommend is using Office for free on the Web; you can find more information at the following link:

Thank you for your response. I already am using the MS free office online suite. It has some limited features compared to the full version (obviously), which was why I was wanting to explore the older 2007 version to see if it had more capabilities than the free version and would be closer to the full paid-for version. I guess I'm going to stay with the free version. I'm a retired teacher, military veteran, senior citizen, and currently a volunteer ministry leader at my church. I see that students can get the full version for free. It would be nice if there was a similar discount for one or more of these categories of individuals. I am thankful at least for access to MS free online version, even when it is a bit cumbersome. Thanks again for your answer.
