Hello patrick lohry, welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand your situation. Please try the following steps:
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. Right‑click Print Spooler and select Stop.
- Open File Explorer and go to: C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
- Delete all files in that folder.
- Go back to the Services window and start the Print Spooler again.
- Try printing once more.
If the issue continues, you can also run the built‑in printer troubleshooter: Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Printer > Run.
