My laptop ran into a problem while turning on and it restart itself but now my battery percentage is not shown in taskbar (looking like window 11 without 2025 major update) and also not showing enabling option in settings window 11.
Tried disabling and enabling battery drivers in device manager...

Happend once before - got it back by reinstalling Windows 11, version 25H2 (repair version)

Make sure you've Windows 11 build 26200.7019 (25H2) or later.

Then you can go to Settings app > System > Power & battery and turn on Battery percentage option.

Is there any way to solve this issue? My build is 26200.7840 (25H2), but both the battery percentage in taskbar, the toggle to turn it on in the Power and Battery settings, and the new coloured battery icon have completely disappeared from my laptop.

It's like it's reverted back without any reason.

I've tried absolutely anything and everything anyone can think of: troubleshooting, reinstalling battery drivers, refreshing desktop and taskbar, checking the register, repaired Windows 11 in-situ (without deleting anything), reinstalled Windows 11, and then tried again doing a full clean-up... However, the problem persists.

Some people in support tell me it's a known issue, others say it is known, but from a different build, and others say that it shouldn't be happening. The laptop is brand new, and I had been using this feature for two weeks on it, so that can't be the problem.

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the battery percentage not displaying in the taskbar after your laptop restarted unexpectedly. Since you mentioned that you previously resolved a similar issue by reinstalling Windows 11, version 25H2, that might be a potential solution again if other troubleshooting steps do not work.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Check Taskbar Settings: Right-click on the taskbar, select Taskbar settings, and ensure that the battery icon is enabled in the system tray.
    2. Update Windows: Make sure your Windows is up to date. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for any available updates.
    3. Run Power Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters, and run the Power troubleshooter to see if it detects any issues.
    4. Reinstall Battery Drivers: Since you already tried disabling and enabling the battery drivers, consider uninstalling them completely from Device Manager and then restarting your laptop to let Windows reinstall them automatically.
    5. Check for Known Issues: Sometimes, specific versions of Windows have known issues that might affect features like the battery icon. You can check the Windows release health page for any updates on known issues related to your version.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, reinstalling Windows 11, version 25H2 might be necessary as you did before.
