Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
Select the Processes tab.
Leave that utility open to monitor your system.

I thought it might also be a virus so i did a malwarebytes deep scan. i then did a rootkit scan and nothing showed up, thought i should run the scan in safe mode to check?
