Before proceeding, please confirm whether you have already tried all the steps suggested by the Q&A Assist bot. If yes, please try the additional steps below:
1, Restart Windows audio services
- Press Windows + R, type
services.msc, and press Enter - Restart Windows Audio
- Restart Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
2, Check volume mixer and app output
- Right-click the speaker icon on the taskbar
- Open Volume mixer
- Make sure the correct output device is selected
- Ensure all apps are not muted and volume is turned up
3, Disable audio enhancements
- Open Settings
- Go to System > Sound > All sound devices
- Select your output device
- Turn off Audio enhancements
4, Reinstall the audio device
- Right-click Start and open Device Manager
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers
- Right-click the audio device and select Uninstall device
- Restart the computer to let Windows reinstall the driver automatically
5, Check communications audio settings
- Open Control Panel
- Go to Sound > Communications tab
- Select Do nothing and apply the changes
6, Check default sound format
- Open Settings
- Go to System > Sound > All sound devices
- Select your output device
- Under Format, choose a different default format and test the sound
