Why can I not post comments on MSN because Im being informed that I have to sign in before I can make a comment when Im already signed in

A couple of years ago, MSN shut down commenting entirely because the number of unacceptable posts had gotten out of control. When comments were eventually restored, the moderation system became extremely strict. Right now, moderation is inconsistent and often doesn’t make sense. It appears to be handled by automated tools rather than human reviewers, which leads to random or unclear decisions.

If one of your comments gets blocked, you can submit an appeal using the Feedback link found at the bottom of most MSN pages. Sometimes appeals are reviewed, sometimes they aren’t, and responses are not guaranteed.

There used to be a more direct way to challenge moderation decisions, but that option has been removed.
