- If the email is still a draft, you can open it, click into the Subject field at the top of the message, update the text, and then save or send it.
- If the email has already been sent or received, Outlook does not allow the subject line to be edited. This is a current limitation in Outlook on the web as well as in the desktop app, since the subject line becomes part of the original message once it is sent.
