I would like to know how to change the subject line in my email. This is email on the internet not the app. I know how to change the subject lie in the app. I would prefer to speak to a person as I will understand more clearly if I can ask follow up questions without delay from electronic correspondence.

    Hi @Stephanie Cruz,

Thank you for reaching out and for explaining your situation so clearly. I completely understand that speaking directly with someone can be much easier, especially when you’d like to ask follow‑up questions and get immediate clarification.

Since you haven’t specified the type of account you’re using, I may not be able to provide an exact, tailored solution. However, assuming you’re using a work or school account, please consider the following information.

Regarding your question about changing the subject line in Outlook on the web, the behavior depends on the status of the email:

    • If the email is still a draft, you can open it, click into the Subject field at the top of the message, update the text, and then save or send it.
    • If the email has already been sent or received, Outlook does not allow the subject line to be edited. This is a current limitation in Outlook on the web as well as in the desktop app, since the subject line becomes part of the original message once it is sent.

As you mentioned that you would prefer to speak with a Microsoft support representative, you can create a support ticket and request direct assistance by following these steps:

You can create a support ticket by sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center following steps from this link: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn to raise a support ticket from admin center or calling the phone support to contact Microsoft Support: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support. If you don't have admin privileges, you can ask your IT admin to do it on your behalf.

Alternatively, you can look for the way to find your admin through this link: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.

Note: As a community moderator, I ask for your understanding that my access to internal development details is limited. My main task is to guide users to the appropriate resources and support channels. Although I have no influence on product design decisions and have limited insight into internal developments, I'll continue to do my best to support you as much as I can.

I hope this information helps move things forward.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.

    Wishing you all the best.

To change the subject line of an email when using Microsoft Dynamics GP, you can edit it in the E-mail Options tab of the Print Receivables Statements window. However, if you are referring to changing the subject line in a different email service or platform, the steps may vary depending on the specific service you are using. Unfortunately, the provided context does not include detailed instructions for changing the subject line in web-based email services like Outlook on the web or other platforms.

If you need further assistance, I recommend reaching out to the support team of the specific email service you are using for more personalized help.
