Authenticator Code required to log into Authenticator app and being blocked --- blocking all systems log in

Got a new phone and since redownloading authenticator app all accesses require a resign in and new authenticator app - but the app itself is requiring a code that only the app can provide - every option under the the " cant use authenticator app" selection leads DIRECTLY back to the authenticator app, therefore I AM LOCKED OUT WITH NO WAY TO GET BACK IN WITHOUT THE APP THAT IS REQUIRING THE APP.

The contact support number continues to hang up on me, I have been through every single stupid link and resource Microsoft is prompting me to try and nothing is working.

I need to SPEAK TO A REAL PERSON?CUSTOMER SUPPORT ASAP - I cannot access the systems required for my job because of Microsoft and this needs to be resolved asap before I lose my job.. getting absolute ridiculous that there is no real support and no answers for an issue that seems to happen to everyone that gets a new phone.

If you are locked out of your Microsoft account due to issues with the Microsoft Authenticator app after getting a new phone, there are a few steps you can take to regain access:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you mentioned that the support number hangs up, try to reach out to Microsoft Data Protection Support by phone. Make sure to explain that you are the only administrator and that you cannot access your account due to the Authenticator app issue.
    2. Use the Trial Tenant Method: If you cannot reach a live agent, consider creating a temporary Microsoft 365 tenant. You can sign up for a trial subscription, which will allow you to access the Admin Center and submit a support ticket requesting assistance from the Data Protection team on behalf of your original account.
    3. Follow the IVR Prompts: When you call Microsoft support, follow the prompts carefully. Indicate that you are having issues with the Authenticator app and that you are a business account user. This may help you get directed to the right support team.
    4. Be Prepared for Verification: Microsoft may ask for verification of your identity and administrative rights for the locked tenant, so have any necessary information ready.

These steps should help you regain access to your account and resolve the issue with the Authenticator app.
