    Hello Deleila Arguello
Thank you for posting question to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

According to this issue, it seems to me that your work account was assigned with Microsoft 365 Office license that does not include desktop license - Microsoft 365 Business Basic or Exchange Online Plan 1.
    Link for this product: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/business/microsoft-365-business-basic?msockid=3eb6980b5c6860e63a588d0c5d1761d6

You might need to check with the administrator about the license or if you are the administrator - please consider upgrading to a license which includes Desktop app usage - Microsoft 365 Business Standard.

I hope this information is helpful.

    The error message reads:

This account cannot be added. The license provided by your work or school does not enable access to Outlook for Windows. Please access your email through Outlook on the web instead.

    Why?

If you're having trouble logging into your Outlook account, here are some steps you can try:

    1. Check Your Credentials: Ensure that you are entering the correct email address and password. Sometimes, a simple typo can cause login failures.
    2. Try Another Sign-In Method: If available, check if there is an option to sign in using a different method on the password page.
    3. Wait and Retry: If you've attempted to log in multiple times unsuccessfully, your account may be temporarily blocked. It's advisable to wait for 24 hours before trying again. Avoid multiple login attempts during this period.
    4. Account Recovery: If you continue to have issues, consider using the account recovery options provided by Microsoft. You can fill out the Request for Account Reinstatement if necessary.
    5. Check for Suspicious Activity: If your account has been flagged for suspicious activity, you may need to follow specific steps to unblock it. Refer to the Microsoft support page for guidance on unblocking your account.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, you may need to seek further assistance from Microsoft support.
