How to stop reminder screen to upgrade to Windows 11 when my PC won't support it

I keep periodically getting a full screen nag from MS telling me to update to Windows 11 (my PC won't support it and they know it) or pay for extended support which I don't want. Will the Reg entry posted elsewhere here serve to stop these annoying reminders?

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]

"ProductVersion"="Windows 10"

"TargetReleaseVersion"=dword:00000001

"TargetReleaseVersionInfo"="21H2"

If not, what will?? Thanks.

    To stop the reminder screen to upgrade to Windows 11, you can try modifying the registry as you mentioned. The registry entries you provided set the target version of Windows 10 and can help prevent the upgrade prompts. However, please be cautious when editing the registry, as incorrect changes can affect your system's stability.

    If you want to avoid the reminders entirely, you might also consider disabling Windows Update notifications. However, this could prevent you from receiving important updates and security patches.

    Since your PC won't support Windows 11, continuing to use Windows 10 is an option until it reaches its end of support on October 14, 2025. After that date, you will not receive updates or support unless you enroll in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, which you mentioned you do not want to pay for.

    For the best experience, it's recommended to upgrade to a new PC that supports Windows 11 when you are ready.
