    Welcome DIANA BYRNE,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how frustrating it is when you can send emails but aren’t receiving any.

Regarding your case, I can see that QA Assist has already provided some helpful troubleshooting steps.  Besides, you may find these additional options helpful:

    Option 1: Basic troubleshoot steps

    • Check mailbox storage: Sometimes full storage causes that you cannot receive emails.

Open Outlook Classic > Files > Info > find Mailbox Settings / Mailbox Usage

    • Try to log in Outlook in web to see if the issue is resolved
    • Make sure that you are staying in "Focused tab" not "Other tab"

Option 2: Clear any Inbox filters

    • Go to View > View Settings (or Filter Email)
    • Make sure Filter = All / No filters applied
    • Also check Sort isn’t hiding items

    Option 3: Run Windows update

    • Make sure that your Outlook client and Windows operating system are up to date

I really hope that the information I gave above was helpful to you. Please feel free to reply below and let me know if you have further concern on this matter.

If you are able to send emails but not receive them in Outlook, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Your Rules: Sometimes, rules can divert incoming emails to different folders or even the RSS feed. Make sure there are no rules set that might be affecting your inbox.
    2. Check Spam or Junk Folder: Ensure that the emails are not being filtered into your Spam or Junk folder.
    3. Verify Email Account Settings: Ensure that your email account settings in Outlook are correct. You may want to remove and re-add your email account to refresh the connection.
    4. Check for Temporary Issues: Sometimes, temporary issues with the email server can cause problems with receiving emails. You may want to wait a bit and check again.
    5. Use Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant: This tool can help diagnose and fix issues with Outlook. You can download it from the Microsoft website.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
