Purchased MS Office 365 August 2025 through Apple App Store. App payment for one year subscription. Tried to use it yesterday, Feb. 5 and information bar says my subscription ended February. 4, 2026. Have screen shot of my Apple App purchases. Shows I still have a paid for subscription through August.

I tried deleting the incorrect app and reinstalling it from the App Store, but I still get the same MS statement saying my subscription has expired. IT HAS NOT!

Need to install the paid subscription.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Since your Microsoft 365 subscription was purchased through the Apple App Store, Apple manages the billing, not Microsoft directly. When this happens, it’s usually because the Microsoft account isn’t properly syncing with your Apple subscription.

You can check this by going to your iCloud settings on an Apple device or online, then looking under Subscriptions using your Apple ID. Check if the subscription is still active in Apple > Since you already have proof, please confirm: Does it still show “Active” and renews in August? If yes, that means Apple recognizes your payment.

To fix this, try restoring your purchase within the Microsoft app you’re using (for example, Word or Outlook). After that, sign in with the Microsoft account you want to associate with the subscription. You may need to sign out of your current account first, then sign back in so the purchase links correctly.

    If issue still persists:

I recommend contacting Apple Support and showing them your screenshot so they can refresh or re-link your subscription. Because the purchase was made through Apple, only Apple can fix billing/activation issues like this.
