The update "2025-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5068865)" is failing to download and the error message is "Download error - 0x80004002." I want to fix this because I think it is making my PC not work properly, every method I have found has not worked.

I think I might have done some methods incorrectly so if someone can give me a better explanation I will try it.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

Using the ISO file also failed. As the moderator above mentioned, please provide the update log located at C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log.

It contains the reason for the update failure. Thank you.

    Hello,

You can use the Windows 11 ISO file to upgrade your system, which will update your system and resolve update errors.

Please download the Windows 11 ISO file using the Media Creation Tool via the following link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

After downloading, right-click the ISO file and select "Mount."

Open File Explorer, navigate to the newly mounted virtual drive, and double-click setup.exe to begin installation.

When the installation window appears, click "Next." When prompted to "Get updates," it is recommended to select "Do it later."

During the "Choose what to keep" step, ensure "Keep personal files and apps" is selected.

Click "Install" to begin the repair installation.
