I need to change the email address associated with my account

The main email to my current account is no good anymore. I need to update it

    Hello

    First, you want to change the alias/username by doing it via https://account.live.com > Your info > Sign in preference.

    Then, you need to also update it here: https://account.live.com > Security > Manage how I sign in. (this is contact method that receives the two-factor codes).

    You can add an account alias to your Microsoft account. However, you can't really move your account info to another e-mail and get rid of the initial e-mail, unless you can convince Microsoft support to do it for you (my understanding is that they are restrictive about these types of "conversions").

    Often, the simplest solution is to cancel any existing subscriptions and then order a new subscription using your preferred e-mail. It will then become your new account for use with Office.
