Can Microsoft delete my hacked account?

I recently joined a fake discord server where I plugged in my email as well as a verification code from an invite in Minecraft. I no longer have access to the account nor my Microsoft account. It says the Microsoft account doesn't exist, but just to be sure can a Microsoft staff confirm this? I have proof that the account was mine and if needed I can provide the name of the account as well.

This is a widely reported scam on Discord, Minecraft... etc. where they ask you for that code to join their server or realm, that code you provided the scammers with gave them full access to your account and they immediately change the recovery details like the associated Email to block you from accessing the account, that is why you are now seeing that your account no longer exists.

I wish I had better news, but when a Microsoft account is hacked, if the hackers change the associated Email, then that account is usually no longer recoverable, this forum is just a user to user account and no-one here has any account access, try using the process they provide on this link to recover a hacked account, if this process is not successful, sadly, that account cannot be recovered.

If your Microsoft account has been hacked and you no longer have access to it, it is possible that the account could be deleted if it has been inactive for a certain period. However, if you believe your account was compromised, you should attempt to recover it through the official Microsoft account recovery process. If the account recovery form indicates that your account does not exist, it may have been deleted, but only Microsoft support can confirm this.

To regain access, you can provide proof of ownership, such as the account name and any other relevant information, to Microsoft support. Unfortunately, if the account has been permanently deleted, it cannot be restored.
