    Dear @somnath mondal,

Good day. Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

First of all, I’m sorry you’re having a problem and for the situation you encountered, I deeply understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.

To begin with, in India, Microsoft requires a GSTIN for all Microsoft 365 Business‑level tenants, including trials. This is due to local tax regulations and how commercial cloud subscriptions must be billed in the region. This requirement is also documented in Microsoft’s public tax information for Microsoft 365 business subscriptions.

For your reference, here is the official resource: Tax information for Microsoft 365 for business products and services

In this case, here are available options you can use right away:

Option 1: Create the trial using a non‑India region

    • You can sign up for the Microsoft 365 Business trial using another region such as the United States. These regions do not require GSTIN during trial activation, so you can proceed smoothly without sharing any tax details.

Option 2: Contact Microsoft Billing Support for guidance

Here’s a resource that provides more insight: Try or buy Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Support

Additionally, as other users have raised similar concerns and may not be aware of where to share their feedback, I hope this response helps clarify the situation and suggests a potential next step. Highlighting this information can make it more visible to others in the community who may be facing the same issue, making it easier for them to find guidance and contribute their feedback as well.

Thank you again for your time and for raising this important usability concern. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

I look forward to your thoughts on this.
