My device does not have Bluetooth, and this happened after a format. How do I get it installed, preferably through PowerShell or CMD?

    Hi ,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Please click Start > Type system information and hit enter > Screenshot and post it back to find a compatible driver.

As a kind reminder, Windows 10 version 1909 reached its end of support many years ago and no longer receives security updates. If you are using it for a specific purpose, I recommend installing it on a dedicated computer.

To install Bluetooth drivers in Windows 10 (version 1909), you can follow these steps:

    1. Check for Bluetooth Support: First, ensure that your device supports Bluetooth. If it does not have Bluetooth hardware, you will need to install a Bluetooth adapter.
    2. Using Device Manager:
      • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
      • Look for Bluetooth in the list. If it’s not present, you may need to install the drivers manually.
      • If Bluetooth is listed, right-click on it and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
    3. Using Windows Update:
      • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
      • Click on Check for updates. Windows may find and install the necessary Bluetooth drivers.
    4. Using PowerShell or CMD: While there are no direct commands to install Bluetooth drivers via PowerShell or CMD, you can use the following command to check for updates:
      • Open PowerShell or CMD as an administrator.
      • Run the command: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
      • After that, run: sfc /scannow
      • This will check for system file integrity and may help in identifying issues with drivers.
    5. Manual Installation: If the above methods do not work, you may need to download the Bluetooth driver from the manufacturer's website. After downloading, you can install it by running the setup file or using the Device Manager to install the driver manually by selecting Add legacy hardware.

If you need specific Bluetooth drivers, you can refer to the manufacturer's support page for your device model.
