CPU usage is at about 50-70% while idle. Drops to 5% when task manager is opened.

As the title says. I have tried running malwarebytes, windows defender and did a offline scan to no avail. Have googled around and i fear i have gotten some kind of cryptominer.

    Hi Vegard F Iversen,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. I'm happy to help.

May I ask how you know that you CPU is 50-70% while idle?

Please do a simple test by navigating to the folder C:\Windows\system32 > find the Task Manager file Taskmgr.exe > copy it to another location and rename it, example: tm.exe > open it to check which process takes your CPU.

Or you can check your CPU usage by another third-party application.
