There could be no answer to getting locked out

I've seen enough of this AI and no humans that I'm pretty sure I'm just complaining to the wall at this point. The login for my new computer setup sent security codes to my email that took 4 to 11 hours to show up in my inbox. It took me a couple of days to understand it wasn't a mistake. Every other entity I worked with during the 10 days I spent trying to log in had, at most, a 2-minute lag between verification request and response. It's not my system with the problem. The AI eventually locked me out. I tried the verification form 5 times and couldn't get a good response. I finally gave up and opened a new account just to get the computer running. BTW, codes texted to my phone never arrived, and calling the help number gave me the same run-around. It is AI too and just refers you back to the internet. The whole verification process was a huge loop that refused to be thwarted. As far as I can tell there is no-one there to hear you. So, good luck. This is me, logged in with my new account.

It sounds like you've experienced significant frustration with the account verification process and delays in receiving security codes. Unfortunately, when too many failed attempts occur, Microsoft may temporarily lock accounts to protect user data. This can lead to a cycle of issues, especially if verification codes are delayed or not received at all.

If you find yourself locked out, the best course of action is to wait for the lockout period to expire, which usually takes about 24 hours. After this period, you can try the account recovery form again, ideally from a familiar device and location. Providing as much accurate information as possible can help improve your chances of regaining access.

If you're still facing issues, contacting Microsoft Support directly may be necessary, although it can be challenging to navigate their automated systems. You can also consider setting up a new account as you have done, but remember to secure your original account if you regain access.
