Hi,

Since purchasing Office 2024 yesterday, I have been frustrated to find that it is incompatible with my MacOS Monterey software. As I am unable to upgrade my macbook 2016 to any newer/compatible software I need to return Office 2024- how do I do so? I cant get through on the support line.

I believe I can then purchase Office 365 instead which will hopefully work?

Hello, good day and thank you for your question. To add to the above, please follow the link below and search for version 16.88 or 16.89.1, which is compatible with the version of macOS installed on your device.

To request a refund for Office 2024, you will need to contact Microsoft support directly, as they handle refund requests. Since you mentioned difficulty getting through on the support line, consider using the live chat option available on the Microsoft support website. Here’s a general process you can follow:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Support website and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    2. Select the product you need help with (in this case, Office 2024).
    3. Click on "Get Home support" and describe your issue.
    4. Look for the "Contact Support" option and choose to chat with a support agent.

Once your refund is processed, you can then purchase Microsoft 365, which should be compatible with your MacBook running Monterey.
