    Hi @azhar Org,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum and thank you for reaching out regarding the question on cancelling your Microsoft account.

As the account type has not been specified, I may not be able to provide an exact solution. If you are using a work account, please refer to the following steps. If your account is not a work or school account, kindly share your account type so I can provide the correct instructions or connect you with the right team.

Because the thread is tagged under Microsoft 365 for business, I understand that you’re referring to a business account. To cancel a business account, you can follow the steps outlined in the following article to cancel an active business subscription: Close your Microsoft business account | Microsoft Learn. This guide covers how to cancel any active Microsoft 365 business subscriptions and the conditions required before the tenant can be closed.

Please note that only a Global Administrator can delete a Microsoft Entra organization (the business tenant). If your account does not have Global Administrator permissions, you will need to contact the Global Administrator in your organization.

Additionally, if your tenant uses a custom domain (for example, yourcompany.com), you’ll need to remove that domain from the tenant before completing the closure steps in the article. This requires removing all users, aliases, and services that still rely on that domain. For reference: Remove a domain - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn. However, if your tenant is using only the default onmicrosoft.com domain, no action is required on that domain.

I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to let me know whether the process works as expected, and if not, please inform me so I can continue assisting with the next steps or help address any remaining concerns.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have additional questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

To cancel your Microsoft account and any associated subscriptions, you can follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account: Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page and log in with your credentials.
    2. Access Services & Subscriptions: Navigate to the "Services & subscriptions" section to view all your active subscriptions.
    3. Cancel Subscriptions: Find the subscription you wish to cancel and select the option to cancel it. You may need to turn off recurring billing first if it is enabled.
    4. Close Your Account: After canceling your subscriptions, you can proceed to close your Microsoft account. Make sure to back up any data you want to keep, as closing your account will delete all associated information.
    5. Follow the Closure Steps: Visit the account closure page and follow the instructions provided to complete the process.
