Hi Sharon, you can do as Emily suggests but please note you cannot change the Microsoft Account (email address) associated with Microsoft Office of any type. Only Microsoft Support can do this and they are very very reluctant to do so without a good reason such as change of Internet Provide, where the email used belonged to the IP.

    Hello

You cannot merge Microsoft accounts, which is not supported.

However, if you want to use gmail address to sign in, you can free up the gmail address from its own Microsoft account, and assign it to the other Microsoft account.

To do so, sign in here with your gmail https://account.live.com

If so, go to Your Info > Sign in preference, Add an alias.

    You have two options here:

Create new: this will allow you to use the native domain outlook.com to create a new alias.

Add existing: this will allow you to add a 3rd party email address, such as yahoo, gmail, as long as they are not already associated with another Microsoft account.

Once added, make this new alias your primary alias, then you can delete the other email as alias, and that email is free from this Microsoft account instantly. Then you can add the gmail to the Microsoft account with mac.com.

To merge two Microsoft accounts, you can perform a profile merge if one of your accounts is a personal Microsoft login account. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Choose a profile to sign into: Start by logging into the account you want to keep (in your case, the one associated with your Gmail).
    2. Add the other account: Go to the account management section and select "Add login account." Sign in with the email of the account you want to merge (the one associated with your Mac).
    3. Trigger the merge: If the account you are adding is associated with another profile, this will initiate the merge process. All your learning progress, credentials, and transcripts will be combined into the profile you are keeping.
    4. Review your data: After the merge, check to ensure that all your files and data are intact and accessible.

Keep in mind that this process cannot be undone, so make sure you want to proceed with the merge before you start.
