Install Office 2024 on new PC

I have a lifetime product key for Office 2024. My new PC came with Office 365 preinstalled but no product key for this which it says is £85 per year subscription.

I simply want to install the product I already purchased. But keep getting an error when trying to download from http://offline.officeapps.live.com/outage.html

Which specific product name is your Office 2024? Office Home & Business 2024? Or something else?

Generally, these perpetual licenses will let you install on on computer (PC or Mac). If you have the product up and running on another computer, you have to uninstall it there first.

Some versions, such as Office Professional 2024, are volume licenses, intended for (large) organizations such as businesses. You won't be able to activate it for personal use.

Your new PC comes with Microsoft 365 (the subscription version) preinstalled, but the product you purchased is Office 2024 (the one-time purchase version). These two versions cannot coexist, so you need to uninstall the subscription version first before installing your lifetime license. Also, the website you tried to access is actually an error page.

After uninstalling, sign in to your Microsoft account that has the Office license using the link below. Then find Office in your subscriptions list and download it.

Once the installation is complete, open any Office app and sign in to your Microsoft account to activate it.
